General terms and conditions
The following terms and conditions apply to reservations made directly on Kurhotel Skodsborg’s own sales channels. The exact room specifications and hotel regulations can be found in the booking confirmation. Special rules may apply for group bookings, corporate deals and offers.
Booking and confirmation
Your reservation is binding from the moment you receive a booking confirmation. If you are booking multiple rooms, please provide the name, country and email of one person from each room. In addition, as the booking manager, you will also be asked to provide your phone number, address and card details.
Room reservations at the hotel can only be made by persons over 18 years of age. Persons under 18 years of age must check in with an adult and both must stay at the hotel at the same time (not necessarily in the same room). If you book a room for a minor, you are responsible for them, regardless of whether you are staying in the same room or not.
Arrival and departure
Check-in is possible from 15:00 on the day of arrival. You must check out no later than 11:00 am on the day of departure. However, it is possible to extend your stay by arrangement with reception, depending on availability. This can only be arranged on the day of arrival. If you have not checked out at the agreed time, Kurhotel Skodsborg reserves the right to charge an amount equal to the daily rate for the extra day. If you wish to check in earlier, this must be arranged with reception prior to arrival.
Cancellation and no-show
The exact cancellation policy is stated in the booking confirmation. No-shows will be charged for the first night. Special rules for group reservations may apply. Cancellation must be made no later than 15:00 the day before arrival. Cancellation must be made via the cancellation link in the booking confirmation or in writing to the booking department at firstname.lastname@example.org.
For arrivals later than midnight, the hotel must be informed in writing. If information is not received, the booking will be considered a no-show and the amount for the first night will be charged. If multiple nights are booked, the rest of the booking will be canceled.
Payment is made upon arrival at the hotel. However, some hotel offers must be paid in advance. We prefer cashless payment by credit card. Pre-authorization is charged before arrival and at the latest upon check-in at the hotel – equivalent to 150% price of stay. The deposit will be refunded minus the full amount of the stay + add-ons if the room is left in the same condition as on arrival and all cancellation deadlines are met.
The hotel accepts the following credit/debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Eurocard and Diners. We reserve the right to charge credit card fees according to applicable law.
Payment with gift cards
Gift cards issued to the hotel can be used as full or partial payment. Gift cards are valid for 3 years from the date of issue and cannot be extended, refunded or exchanged for cash. Gift cards are not personal, which means you can freely transfer the gift card. You agree that the gift card is at the disposal of the holder of the gift card at all times, as the card is considered a bearer gift card. Lost gift cards will not be replaced. Otherwise, the current legislation in section 96 of the Payment Act is followed.

Valuables and luggage storage
There is a safety deposit box in all rooms, which you are free to use. Upon arrival, guests have the option to leave their luggage in a storage room. For security reasons, the hotel is not required to store items of high value or items that could jeopardize the safety of our hotel staff or guests. Storage is at your own risk.
The guest must compensate the hotel for any damage, defects, theft caused with intent, willful misconduct or negligence on the part of the guest. The person whose name the booking is under will be responsible.
Forgotten items can be forwarded by prepaying the associated postage. Please note that forgotten items are only stored for a limited period of time according to current legislation. Therefore, please contact the hotel as soon as possible if you have forgotten something and provide the name of the reservation, date and room number, if applicable.
We are a non-smoking hotel and therefore smoking is not allowed indoors and in the rooms. Failure to comply with our smoking policy will result in a charge of DKK 1500,- for extra cleaning. If the fire alarm is triggered by smoking in the hotel, the guest is responsible for the full cost of the fire and rescue service.
Dogs are allowed by appointment and subject to a fee. We have allocated some rooms specifically for this purpose. Pets are not allowed in the restaurant and lobby area.
We encourage all guests to familiarize themselves with the fire plan located in the room near the entrance, emergency exits and fire extinguishers upon arrival.
