“I can help you provide insight and movement so that you can find your own direction in life. Hatha yoga helps to provide peace of mind, mental balance and a surplus of mental resources in a daily life, where ‘breathing spaces’ have almost disappeared.”

HATHA YOGA MED ANNE-LOUISE HAARBY

“My job is to balance the nervous system and prevent stress, which means that I switch between being physical and relaxing – “the accelerator and the brake.” A mirror of how our everyday life should look like: Being present – taking a break – being present – taking a break,” says Anne-Louise Haarby about her hatha yoga classes.

“We begin the class by being present the room (focusing on breath), then we’ll go deeper (possibly with a ‘body scan’) to let go of stress and tension. Then the physical movement begins. This means, that it becomes easier to stand in yoga positions and go deeper into the stretches. Slowly we open up so the “prana” – life energy – can move around in the body and mind. The class ends with relaxation  – “savasana” – which for most is one of the hardest, but the most important thing in yoga and meditation.

“I AM IN LOVE WITH THE LITTLE BREATH”

“Among other things, yoga has taught me to breathe, and now I’m totally in love with that little breath. It’s simply the key to our nervous system,” continues Anne-Louise Haarby. “When you breathe in, you span the entire upper body. When you breathe out, the body relaxes.”
She elaborates: “In our society we often experience stress, racing thoughts and too tense bodies. Here the breath have a soothing effect.”

A FUNDAMENTAL INTERNAL PEACE

Anne-Louise likes to draw on her own experiences and says: “For many years of my adulthood, I forgot to breathe, which gave birth to stress and other diseases. Today, I can not help breathing ‘right’. I remember my ‘breathing spaces’ every day so even if everything around me is chaos, I have a fundamental peace of mind. It’s that kind of calm I hope I can pass on.”

Anne Louise Haarby has worked as an independent holistic consultant in stress management and work/life balance as well as eating disorders, anxiety and depression over the past 10 years.
She also arranges private courses if you want to find peace and quiet in your busy everyday life.

ANNE-LOUISE HAARBY’S YOGA EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND

Anne-Louise Haarby has more than 15 years of experience as A yogi (one who practices yoga) and has participated in several workshops in Denmark and abroad, among others, with yoga teacher Judith Macripp-Johansen, who has helped build a solid foundation around the hatha yoga. In addition, Anne-Louise has developed a yoga/relaxation program that has helped hundreds with their stress, anxiety or depression.
Anne-Louise is a certified coach in the systemic, management and personal level, meditation & mindfulness instructor, NLP and Enneagram Master and Master in Human Dynamics.
In addition, she has a bachelor of commerce in Personnel Administration and International Marketing and has previously worked as Human Resources and Quality Manager.
